The Mahou Shoujo ni Akogarete comic series is published by Takeshobo in Japan. It was originally serialized monthly in the magazine Manga Life STORIA (まんがライフSTORIA?), until it ceased publication in July 2019. Since then, the comic has continued to be published on STORIA's digital counterpart Manga Life STORIA DASH (まんがライフストーリアダッシュ?).
In March 2021, Coolmic began publishing the series in English for mobile devices. In June 2022, J-Novel Club started publishing the series in English in e-book and print formats.
On 2023-03-10, Storia Dash reported that over 500 thousand volumes of MahoAko had been sold.[1] On 2023-12-03, Storia Dash reported that over 1 million copies had been sold.[2]
